TTC Group Studies Investment Opportunities in Agricultural Product Production and Processing in Tra Vinh
On the afternoon of May 10, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Le Van Han, held a meeting with TTC Group, led by Ms. Huynh Bich Ngoc, Standing Vice President of the Corporation, to discuss investment opportunities in agricultural product production and processing in Tra Vinh.

Ms. Huynh Bich Ngoc introduced the development orientation of TTC Group

TTC Group is a diversified company operating in various industries, including agriculture, energy, real estate, and tourism. In Tra Vinh, TTC has been supporting farmers in establishing a coconut plantation spanning over 3,000 hectares in Cang Long and Tieu Can districts. Currently, the group is proposing the construction of a coconut processing factory in Hung Hoa commune, Tieu Can district, to directly utilize coconut production from the local plantation. The factory is expected to have a capacity of 300,000 coconuts per day, with an investment of 150 billion VND.

TTC also expressed interest in supporting the establishment of an organic coconut plantation in line with the group's development direction, aiming to create sustainable livelihoods for farmers and tap into the province's available potential.

Additionally, TTC is seeking information on the policies and development directions of the sugar industry in Tra Vinh. Considering the increasing domestic demand for sugar coupled with a decline in sugar production, TTC aims to collaborate with Tra Vinh to find optimal solutions to revive the sugar industry, thereby improving the income of sugarcane farmers.

During the meeting, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and department leaders introduced the potential and opportunities for cooperation in the agricultural sector of the province. With nearly 25,000 hectares of coconut plantations, including nearly 5,000 hectares of organic coconuts, Tra Vinh holds significant potential for developing the coconut value chain. Regarding the sugar industry, the province already possesses sugarcane plantations and a sugarcane factory in Tra Cu district. However, due to fluctuating sugarcane prices and unstable incomes in recent years, the sugarcane area in the province has been declining.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee spoke at the meeting with TTC Group

Chairman Le Van Dau expressed gratitude to TTC Group for their interest in and exploration of investment opportunities in the province. He expressed hope for increased cooperation between Tra Vinh and TTC Group in the future, particularly in the development of the coconut and sugar industries. The province is committed to providing the most favorable conditions for the corporation to invest in local development. The Chairman also requested that relevant departments and branches designate focal points to receive information and assist TTC Group in the implementation of investment procedures within the province.
